We had family visit for a long weekend just when the colors began changing so we took them up into the mountains to enjoy nature doing it’s thing.
I forget, during the day to day life, how much I enjoy being out in the beauty that we are gifted. I forget how in tune and grounded being in the fresh air, the beauty of the trees and critters doing their thing.

There was an incident on this trip, I found out bees near me push me into a panic now. One landed on me and my body froze and started shaking, my brain went into overdrive, my pulse raced and once it flew off the tears fell. Since then it has happened again, it’s an issue now that I’ll have to work out. I have a heightened love/hate relationship with bees.
Other than that, it was a lovely escape from the bad air quality in my city and a beautiful reminder of the amazing palette mother nature produces.
The husband and I went out this last weekend on the bike up into the mountains for a short ride and the colors are past their peak, it’s turning more to dry/dead color scheme and the signs of winter coming were evident. Still stunning to see and appreciate.
