Closing in on the end of this dog sitting deployment. One of the parents is almost on the way home so my time here is getting short.
Looking forward to going home, settling in to our new house, connecting with family and a heck of a lot of self care.
Already looking at trips soon as well, but first reconnect and have a hard look at my finances post dogs. I have no idea how low income families afford dogs, these guys are expensive.
I’m going to try hard to be extra loving and kind to these dogs the last bit and make sure they are feeling loved. The transition back to their old routines will possibly be rough. They are used to me being here all day almost every day and their parents work outside the home so they will go back to being left alone all day all week.
Mixed emotions about all of it including the coming of the end of it.
