Yes, I’m still around..in a sort of hovering until figuring out a direction to go in kind of way.
The past few years have been about saving money and not traveling much so there really hasn’t been very much to blog about. Between the Covid crap and our focus on saving money we have been rather boring, as blog posts go. So, I took a break.
2024, what an interesting 6 months so far. In December 2023 I pulled Tarot on Yule for the year to come and everything about the read was about change. It hasn’t disappointed!
So far:
- Our daughter is now engaged to a really great guy, we couldn’t be happier for her.
- Our son just landed a new job that he has been really hoping for and we are hoping will be a great fit for him.
- I am completely off pharmaceutical medication (except albuterol for my asthma) and working to get myself into shape without medications. This will take time and is frustrating but I’m focused and determined to do better and not allow big pharma crutches to keep me going.
- Peri-menopause has a grip on me but I’m super happy to be in this stage and can’t wait for the transition to be complete. The Crone in me is taking hold in a big way and I’m not fighting it. Silver hair is my natural highlights right now.
- There’s a big change for us coming but we aren’t announcing it on social media or really outside family yet so I’m not leaking it here but the hint I’ll give is the money we have been saving is for a down payment. IFYKYK
- There is a family member that I haven’t been in touch with like I should and I have reached out to begin fixing that, hopefully it takes and we can build a relationship.
Those are the big ones so far and I am excited to see how they all play out in the next 6 months. Crossing fingers and saying prayers that we are on the right path and choosing well.
I do wonder where this election will take us as a country, without going to political here… it’s rather discouraging looking at the two idiots we are supposed to choose from. I’m rather liking RFK Jr but doubt the rigged system will allow him a chance to win at this point.
Oh a little concert update, since we are cracking down on spending, we only have tickets for one more concert this year and I’m so looking forward to it! We are going to see Dogstar, yep Keanu Reeves will be playing base on stage in front of me on my birthday. Happy Birthday to me!
Reading update: I’m down to about 185 ebooks on my Kindle. Hoping to knock out at lease 20 more by the end of the year.
