As you may know I just finished re-reading all of the romance novels that had been in storage for about 20 years and donated them to Goodwill.
Though I don’t see reading more steamy type romances like Harlequin again, the project did prod my interest in reading again. So, moving forward I intend to continue reading but I will broaden my library extensively.
The start of this transition out of the romance genre is with the new gift of the Kindle Paperwhite which will help me continue reading without adding to the multitude of things we have to pack each time we move and now that we are going overseas that will be a big help.
Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE paper books and if I could I’d have an extensive library but it just is not practical at this point so I have given in to the electronic age of reading and the Kindle.
The first book I decided to purchase for the Kindle and the 12 hour flight to Japan is:
“Fifty Shades Trilogy” by E.L. James. Yes I know it has had mixed reviews and I honestly don’t hold much hope for it to wow me but lets give it a chance shall we?
The second book I purchased is:
“The Hunger Games” by Suzanne Collins. If I can’t get into the previous, this one has great potential to be a very good read.
To conclude, the book reviews will continue and with the move to books with a bit more bite my reviews will be more extensive then the meager romance novel reviews I did.
