Remember the movie “You’ve Got Mail”?
The excitement and anticipation at hearing those words when you log in to your email or these days when you are notified of a Facebook comment on one of your posts or photos.
When I first started blogging, it was for my own documenting purposes, getting ready for Japan, living here, putting thoughts down, etc. I have to admit, I truly get amped up when I log on and see the little quote bubble lit up with a new comment! Granted, I don’t get many comments on my actual blog, which is depressing OK but when people respond to my comment on their blog, I love seeing that and hope the response is funny, intriguing, thoughtful, playful or powerful and I have not been disappointed yet. So to those of you who actively communicate on your blog and not just posting, thanks for giving my blogging life more meaning. Whether it’s in humor, sarcasm, debate or in agreement blogging is richer for me because you respond.
To those who simply sit back and count their popularity without engaging .. pfft on you.
