Book 19: “Rogue’s Mistress”

Eugenia Riley’s: “Rogue’s Mistress” Brilliant good story telling fun!  I remembered reading this before and enjoyed it just as much.  Though I do get frustrated with books like this where I end up silently screaming at the characters to just tell each other they love them and move on.  But then we would miss all … Continue reading Book 19: “Rogue’s Mistress”

Book 17: “Warrior’s Song”

Catherine Coulter's "Warrior's Song" My guilty pleasure in a romance novel.  Castles, Knights, Ladies, defiance, love.  I'm a sucker for a good story about a tom-boy who is forced out of her comfort zone, specially in the old England time period. Granted, some of the words and phrases used by Ms. Coulter in the story … Continue reading Book 17: “Warrior’s Song”

Book 16: “Siren Song”

Kathryn Kramer's "Siren Song" Quite the different turn going with the old mining west.  Not incredibly believable but then it is a romance novel so that is expected.  I'd like to think something like this happened in the old mining towns. The most unbelievable part for me was her being a slim, sexy young woman.  … Continue reading Book 16: “Siren Song”

Book 15: “The Wastrel”

Margaret Moore's " The Wastrel" Ah Victorian England, a familiar setting for romance novels, this one is light hearted and good fun.  Enjoyed the character descriptions and brutal honesty of some personalities. Clara's defiance and education peeked the tiny feminist part of me that rarely rears it's head. The next book is Kathryn Kramer's "Siren Song"

Book 14: “Divine Evil”

Nora Roberts' "Divine Evil I really like the two sides of this story.  It's serious satanism scare along with the romance was a great combination.  I'm tempted to keep this one but think I'll unload it and perhaps pick it up as an ebook down the road. Intrigue, mystery, murder, family angst and troubles and … Continue reading Book 14: “Divine Evil”

Book 13: “Once A Princess”

Johanna Lindsey's "Once A Princess" Sappy Cinderella type story that was just what I needed.  The background given to the "Princess" and disbelief of what was happening was just right for me to buy in to the fact that she would fight tooth and nail as long as she did. She should have had more … Continue reading Book 13: “Once A Princess”

Book 12: “Short Straw Bride”

Dallas Schulze's "Short Straw Bride" Well if it's any indication, I read this in one day. 🙂  Cute story if a bit unbelievable at times but who cares really when you're reading a romance novel right?  We read them to escape reality not to look for it in there. The next book is:  Johanna Lindsey's … Continue reading Book 12: “Short Straw Bride”

Book 11: “The Captain’s Conquest”

Christine Elliott's "The Captain's Conquest" This book was fun and actually had me laughing out loud a few times at the couple's antics.  Maddie's attitude is a great read.  The sexual charge was definitely apparent and the author is not shy about the amorous scenes which is great and a bit uncomfortable for me to … Continue reading Book 11: “The Captain’s Conquest”
