I don’t normally do these but in an effort to support her and her new blog where she is documenting the progress of treating her hormonal acne, I’ll be happy to answer her questions below.

Questions She is asking:

1. What are your top 3 makeup essentials that you can’t live without

It’s going to sound boring but my Cherry ChapStick is a must have.  If they ever discontinue the original ChapStick I’ll be in trouble.  Most other lip balms cause my lips to get irritated and sore.  Other than that, if I have my eyelashes curled and made lovely with mascara I am a happy camper.  My all time favorite mascara is Lancome’s Definicils (pictured in trial size because I’m out of the full size and I’m trying a Japanese mascara that I picked up in town, Heroine but not a big fan).

2. What made you start your blog

We found out we were being sent overseas to Japan, my blog was created to document preparing for and living abroad and to share my experiences with my family and friends.

3. Lipstick or lip gloss

Lipstick – Currently I’m a matte fan but not long ago I was a gloss fan so it fluctuates.

4. Coolest experience

This is a hard one.  Living in Japan has given me a lot of great experiences but I’ll have to go with my wedding.  We got married in Las Vegas, on his motorcycle at the drive through window of Little White Wedding Chapel.

5. Favorite healthy food (for weight loss)

Hmm…maybe cucumber.  It’s great in a salad, in water, on your face. haha

Almonds as well…can I have two?  Oh and Salmon!  Ok that’s three, I’ll stop now.

6. Favorite drug store brand

Rimmel maybe?  Not sure I have a favorite to be honest.

7. Dream vacation

A month in England, Scotland and Ireland.

8. Beauty tip to live by (best beauty tip)

I don’t know that I’m qualified to give beauty advice but maybe to make up your own mind, be unique.  There are so many suggestions and people saying use this, buy that, this is a must have but the truth is every face and skin is different.   Sometimes it’s trial and error till you find something that works but just because something is marketed a lot and bloggers are paid to give it a review doesn’t mean its right for you.

9. Favorite style icon

I don’t think I have one.  I like some things some do but not often everything.  This might be something I am still working on.  I do follow Kate Hudson on Instagram though and love her style.

10. Favorite way to relieve stress

Reading a good book I suppose.  I can get really into a good story and everything else melts away.
