Well, this week was a well intentioned bust. I came down with a full on snotty cold that has kept me home. For two days I have done not much of anything and felt absolutely horrible about it, specially after re-committing to getting fit again just a few days ago. Seems every time I fly overseas I end up with a cold. Need to work on that.
So, today I am staying home again because…snot…. But, I will do some squats, crunches, push ups and some lunges if I can keep my balance … because … snot … tends to effect equilibrium a bit.
Also, I hope to have the energy to do a little house cleaning which will help with moving some and with getting rid of germs.
Hoping tomorrow will have me feeling better and I can get in some cardio.
So, my first real check in was a fail. haha – way to get started!
Excuse…snot
There’s a Japanese saying, something along the lines of “fall down seven times, get up eight times”. The cold is a setback, nothing more. I made a similar commitment to myself about losing some weight, and another to my yoga teacher for daily meditation. Doing well with the former, the latter just isn’t fitting with my life right now, but each day is a new beginning, no?
Thank you and yes! I have not given up just disappointed. But, not discouraged.
I admire your tenacity and drive. You recognize the snot and design a plan of attack! Blow. Lunges. Blow. Sit ups. Blow. House cleaning. At least you recognize that not going to the gym does not equate with inactivity! Good job, Diana!
Thanks. It sucks..snot
