Sugar Detox Early Days

On day three of the sugar detox and doing well, other than the malicious knee jerk in the middle of the night.

My diet so far:

Monday:  2 scrambled eggs for breakfast, small handful of almonds and sunflower seeds around 11:00, lamb rolls and raw carrots/broccoli for lunch, last of the lamb rolls and vegetables for dinner.  Beverages: Half a glass of Almond Milk in the morning and at night for taking meds, hot tea in the morning, water all day, club soda at night with a slice of lemon.

Tuesday:  1 fried egg and 2 pieces of bacon for breakfast, small handful of almonds and sunflower seeds around 11:00, smoked turkey deli meat and a piece of bacon, avocado and 2 slices of mozzarella cheese for lunch, pepper steak and stir fried carrots, onion, zucchini, mushrooms, water chestnuts (in just olive oil, no soy sauce).  Beverages: Half a glass of Almond Milk in the morning and at night for taking meds, hot tea in the morning, water all day, club soda at night with a slice of lemon.

Wednesday:  1 fried egg, 2 pieces of bacon for breakfast, grilled salmon (Japanese style) and raw carrots/broccoli for lunch,  stick of pepper jack cheese for snack, and will do tuna stuffed tomato with salad for dinner.  Sticking to Balsamic vinegar for dressings.  Beverages: Half a glass of Almond Milk in the morning and at night for taking meds, hot tea in the morning, water all day, club soda at night with a slice of lemon.

So far, my energy level is still up and honestly I haven’t once felt hungry.  Maybe that’s psychological but things seem to be going well.  My blood glucose read 97 this morning and the scale said I lost a couple of lbs.  I am giving this a few days to see how my body reacts to no carbs or sugar.  If still doing awesome, I’ll start working out at the gym, cardio for about 40 minutes.  By the end of the 3 week detox I’m hoping to have lost almost 10 lbs and have my fasting blood glucose reading steadily under 100.
